Isabel Lewis: Ecosensual Eclogue
A site-specific choreography for the painted pool area of the Vieux Chalet imagined as the unfurling of a pastoral poem exploring contemporary approaches to practices of attunement to one’s environment. The work evokes the tropes of idealized depictions of rural life made for urban audiences as a springboard into more complex and nuanced ruminations on the possibility of articulating and caring for alternative and queer relations with the ever mythical Nature.
