eL seed : mirage
Like much of el Seed’s work, which straddles the ideas of East and West implicit in his French-Tunisian heritage as well as calligraphy and graffiti implicit in his practice, the text of Mirage is barely legible. An ode to the love that the poet had not just for a woman of a neighboring tribe but for the landscape as if language itself – here woven into a calligraphic form continuous with the desert sands – is emitted from the beating heart of this desert oasis.
